One day orientation programme on How to strengthen the placement Cell on17.09.2017
On 17.09.2017, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi has conducted a one day Orientation Programme in association with Centre for Academic Leadership and Education Management, working under the Academic Staff College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
Mr. M. Saad Hameed, the Placement and Training Officer, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh has visited the College. During his visit he intends to share his knowledge to make the College’s Career Guidance & Placement Cell, more effective and vibrant one. In this process, he oriented the students of the college, the Staff members involved in Placement and Training and the members of Management & Administrative authorities. As first Programme he addressed among the final year UG and PG Students of Islamiah Women’s College, Vaniyambadi and Students of Islamiah College for Men (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi and interacted with them. There was an overwhelmed response from the students. Next he interacted with VME Society members and the Principal as well as Vice Principal of the College, where he suggested the Placement and Training Cell’s indispensible role in the College, and suggested the implementation methodology for its effective and vibrant functioning and further to appoint a full time placement officer for the college. Finally he interacted with Heads of the Various Department of college and the Members of the Career Guidance & Placement Cell of both men and women colleges. After his interaction he suggested to introduce department wise placement advisors who may be the Faculty member and from every department a student representative from each class, exclusively for the placement cell and to submit the CG&PC Report for its progress in the six months. After going through this process to adjudicate the development, he wishes to there should be a long term association with Placement & Training Cell, CALEM, and AMU. Aligarh.

The career guidance & placement cell organized campus drive of Eureka forbes ltd, Chennai for final year students. The progamme started with welcome address by Dr. Mohammed Ali, coordinator of Career guidance and placement cell, followed by felicitation by Dr. K. PremNazeer, Principal. Later they start to proceed interview process finally 22 selected out of 120.
Webinar Program on “Strategies to Drive 100 % Placement” on 06-02-2019
A special lecture programme through online was organized at commerce computer lab on Strategies to drive 100% placement of Tata Consultancy Services on 06.02.2019by Mr. Krishnan, CA, Business Unit Head, TCS delivered online webinar to our final and pre final year students . Totally 41 students took part in this programem.

The career guidance and placement cell organized an orientation programme on Interview cycle for the final year students by Mr. FaheemSait, CEO, ELGO Pvt. Ltd. Chennai at AllamaIqbal auditorium. Totally 131students participated from various departments. He delivered wonderful lecture on various process of interview and current requirement to the IT industries etc.
CAMPUS INTERVIEW - ALLSEC TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION PVT LTD, CHENNAI ON 19-02-2021
The career guidance and placement cell organised campus interview of Allsec Technology Solution Pvt Ltd, Chennai on 19th February 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at seminar hall. The programme started with Qirath by Mr. Siddique, member of placement cell followed by welcome address by Dr. Soundararajan, Joint- Coordinator, placement cell and Dr. Raja Mohamed Kamil, Vice – Principal felicated the programme, Mrs. Yamini Srinivasan, HR – Executive, Allsec Technology Solution Pvt Ltd, Chennai address the students and started the interview procedure totally two rounds of interview 1.Group discussion and 2. Personal interview. Totally 199 students took part from all the science departments. Out of 199 students 50 shortlisted during 1 round interview and only 29 selected during second round interview. All the selected students were issued letter of intent (LOI) by Principal Dr. T. Mohamed Ilyas Finally meeting was ended with vote of thanks by Dr. M.A, Bilal Ahmed, Member, placement cell.
OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES OF CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION ON 12.03.2021
The career guidance & placement cell organized a one day orientation programme on “Opportunities and Challenges of Civil service Examination” on 12.03.2021 at Allma Iqbal Auditorium. The programme started with irath by Mr. Waheed, III B.Sc Bio-Technology student followed by welcome address by Dr. A. Mohamed Ali, Co-ordinator of Placement cell. Dr. T. Mohamed Ilyas, Principal offered his felicitation address, Mr. Ramesh Aditya, Head Strategy, Shankar IAS Academy, Chennai addressed the students. Sucharithan, faculty of Shankar IAS Academy, interacted with our students in connection with various issues of civil service examination and awakened the students how to prepare systematically for civil service examination. 432 students took part effectively in this programme. Dr. S. Soundarrajan, Joint – Coordinator of placement cell, proposed the vote of thanks.
CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM ON “HOW TO CRACK INTERVIEWS” On 22/08/2021
On 22/08/2021 The Career Guidance and Placement cell organized a programme on “How to Crack Interviews” which was addressed by Mohammed Ubadha J, Communication Trainer and Placement Officer, Jamal Mohamed College, Trichy through virtual mode in Google meet platform. The programme started with qirath by Mr. Siddique, Department of History, Dr. Soundarrajan, Joint Co-ordinotor of placement cell offered his welcome address followed by introduction of chief guest by Dr. M.A. Bilal Ahmed, Department of Commerce (F&A) and the chief guest addressed our students in connection with “How to Crack Interviews” He delivered his speech impressively thereby luring the attention of the students. Totally 100 participants from different departments took part in the programme. Finally the programme came to an end with vote of thanks by Dr. Tameemul Ansari, PG & Research Department of Commerce.
CAMPUS DRIVE - ZEBU SHARE & WEALTH MANAGEMENT PVT. LTD, CHENNAI ON 25.03.2022
The career guidance & placement cell conducted a campus drive of Zebu Share & Wealth Management Pvt. Ltd, Chennai on 25.03.2022 at Multimedia Hall @ 10:30 am. The program started with qirath by Mr. Shazib of III B.Com (F&A) followed by ThamizthaiVazhthu, Dr. S. Soundarrajan, Joint Co-ordinator, CG&PC delivered the Welcome address. Mr. Deepak, HR addressed the gathering about the company's profile,they conducted interviews in three rounds 1. Written test, 2.Group discussion, and 3. Final round personal interview. In all the three rounds 72 students participated finally they shortlisted only 19 candidates and shortlisted students have been given a letter of intent on the same day. Finally, the program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. M. Siddiqe, Member, CG&PC.
A SPECIAL LECTURE ON “A RIGHT PATH AHEAD” ON 01.04.2022
The career guidance & placement cell organized a special lecture on “A Right Path Ahead” by Mohamed Umais, Software Development Manager, IQVIA, Bangalore on 01.04.2022 at Seminar Hall @ 10: am. The program started with qirath by Mr. Siddique, Member, CG&PC followed by ThamizthaiVazhthu, Dr. M.A. Bilal Ahmed delivered the Welcome address. Dr.S. Raja Mohmed Kamil, Vice Principal introduced the chief guest along with felicitation. Dr. T. Mohamed Ilyas, the Principal offered his presidential address later the chief guest was honored with fruits bouquet by our principal. The chief guest started to deliver a wonderful lecture in connection with the career of the young graduates, how to face interviews with boldness and courage, 120 students participated from various departments. Finally, the program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. S. Soundarrajan, Joint Co-ordinator, CG&PC.
CAMPUS DRIVE - JIO-DIGITAL LIFE ON 18.11.2022
The career guidance and placement cell organized a campus drive of Jio-Digital Life on 18.11.2022 at the seminar hall. The programme started with qirath by Prof. M. Siddique Ahmed, Dr. Soundarrajan welcomed the gathering. Mr. Anand, Manager of Jio Digital life addressed the students in connection with the profileof the job, training cum induction programme for one year, thereafter they will be given certificates and jobs upon the completion of training. During the training, they can earn up to Rs. 500 per day and every day one-hourtraining will be given to them from 4 to 5 pm.
AWARENESS PROGRAM ON COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION THROUGH STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION
The career guidance & placement cell conducted an awareness program on competitive examination through Staff Selection Commission on 27.12.2022 at Virtual Library at 10:30 am. The program started with qirath by Mr. K.A. IbrahIm of III B.Com (F&A) followed by ThamizthaiVazhthu, Dr. S. Soundarrajan, Joint Co-ordinator, CG&PC delivered the Welcome address. Mrs. M.A. NouziyaNousheen, Junior Employment officer, District Employment center, Tirupatturaddressed the students in connection with the awareness of various competitive examination and staff selection commission procedures along with her assistant Mr. P.Sathish, totally 31 students participated.Finally, the program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. M. The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi organized a campus interview of CAMS Ltd, Mount Road, Chennai on 04-03-2023. The Programme started with qirath by Prof. Siddique, member CG&PC, followed by Tamil Thai Vazhtu. Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim K. A. of III- B.com (F&A) delivered a welcome address. Mr. Dhayapriyan, Deputy Manager explained about profile of the company, Job Description, career path way and compensation. Later he started the interview procedure. Total of 96 students registered, out of which 11 shortlisted. Finally, the programme come to an end with vote of thanks by Mr. Mohammed Huzaif Pof III- B.com (F&A).

The career guidance & placement cell organized a career orientation programme on “Career Building with Library” by Dr. N. Abdul latheef, librarian Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi on 17-03-2023 at Allama Iqbal Auditorium @ 10:30 am. The program started with qirath by Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim K A of III.B.Com (F&A) followed by Thamizthai Vazhthu, Mr. Adeeb Sufiyan. K of III.B.Com (F&A) delivered the Welcome address. Dr. S. Raja Mohmed Kamil, Vice Principal introduced the chief guest along with felicitation.. The chief guest delivered a wonderful lecture in connection with the career of the young graduates, how to build career with library and later on detail explanation about Government examination schemes, benefits , and its procedure and books. 371 students participated from various departments. CAMPUS INTERVIEW - CHEM VISAI LABS, THIRUVALLUR CHENNAI ON 24-04-2023
The PG & Research Department of Chemistry in association withthe career guidance & placement cell of Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi organized a campus interview of CHEM VISAI LABS, Thiruvallur Chennai on 24-04-2023. The Programme started with qirath by Mr. Sameer of I MSc chemistry, followed by Tamil Thai Vazhtu. Dr. K Anandha Ratchagan delivered a welcome address. Dr. T. Mohammed Ilyas (Principal) offered his felicitation. Later Chief guest was introduced by Dr. S. Mohammed Kamil (Vice- Principal). The Chief-guest Dr. Ventakraghvan delivered a talk based on this career and the importance of conducting interview. The interview began with a written test and total 24 candidates participated in interview out of 24 18 from final year M.Sc. Chemistry and 6 from final year B.Sc. Chemistry test in these 24 students 18 were selected in written test and moved for interview section out of 18 students 5 of them were selected in interview and got appointment orders and remaining 5 kept in waiting list.Finally, the programme come to an end with vote of thanks by Dr. M. Bilal Ahmed of CGPC member.

One Day Orientation Program on the relevance of Social Justice was organized by the equal opportunity centre on 15-11-2021. Dr. K. Parthibaraja, Associate Professor , Department of Tamil, Sacred Heart College , Tirupattur delivered a lecture on the topic “Relevance of Social Justice in Tamil Culture”.
Mr. Syed Ahmed Hussaini, Founder Al-Ameen Trust and Social activist spoke on the topic Social Justice in International Scenario and possible solutions, students from various department and faculty members participated in this programme.

Equal opportunity centre, Islamiah College organised a one day Workshop on Employability and life skill for Young People on 23-12-2021 in association with Universal Higher Education Trust, VIT Vellore, Dr. N. About the club

Committee for disability resource center of Islamiah College (Autonomous) proudly submit that, the committee has purchased two wheel chairs worth 12900 rupees on 22/02/2022 by following suitable process and scrutiny one wheel chair is kept at the entry point of the College (Security chamber) and another one is at the podium of the Commerce block and is ready for by disabled persons.
The meeting of Disabled Resource Centre Committee, Islamiah College was held on 22.09.2023 to discuss and to create awareness about the amenities available in the campus and redress the grievances of the students. Students were given proper guidance to avail the free transportation in the Government buses and also given guidance on how to apply the various schemes available for them. Seven students attended and benefitted from the meeting.

Online Drawing and Slogan Writing Competition on “COVID-19 Awareness”
An online drawing and slogan writing competition was conducted on 05.08.2021 to awareness on COVID-19 among students. More than 280 participants comprising of students from both Arts and Science disciplines registered and took part in the competition. The competition began at 10.00 AM and ended at 2.00 PM. Students expressed their ideas on COVID-19 Awareness through drawings and paintings.
COVID – 19 Vaccination Camp on 28.08.2021
COVID – 19 Vaccination Camp was organized by Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi, in collaboration with the Health Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, on 28th August 2021 in room no 109 of the college campus for societal cause. Dr. N. Shabeer Ahmed, Nodal officer COVID – 19 containment and the coordinator of the camp meticulously planned the conduct of the camp during the COVID 19 pandemic days. Nearly 150 people inclusive of Non-teaching staffs, faculty members and general public received the vaccine (1st dose/ 2nd dose). Camp began at 9.30 AM and ended at 3.00 PM.

‘Child Protection Club’ was inaugurated on 17th November 2023. The inaugural function held at 11:00 am at Virtual Library, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi. The inaugural function was a great success and was attended by around 20 students and the faculty members of the Club. The inauguration of the Child Protection Club was a significant event for the
College. Hopefully, the Club will play a vital role in creating safe and secure environment for children, and in promoting awareness about child rights.

Consumer awareness programme for Commerce and BBA students was held on 6th October 2023, Friday, at 11.00 am. at ICT hall number 313. Mr. M. Syed Shameel , Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (CA), addressed on the topic, Consumer Protection in Banking Sector. Faculty members, students from various departments were present.

L.ARBAB SIKANDAR, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, addressed on the topic, Role of SEBI in Investor Protection. Faculty members, students from various departments were present.
Prof. A. Muqthar Ahmed, co-ordinator, Citizen Consumer Club and winners of various competitions conducted by District Consumer Forum were honored at the Millets Food Fest held at Collectorate, Tirupattur on 15.12.2023 by the District Collector.
