EVENT REPORT
Urban Livelihood provides livelihood security for the urban poor by providing skill and employment opportunities, housing and basic amenities. Tamil Nadu Urban Livelihood Mission (TNULM) focuses on livelihood security for the urban poor by providing skill and employment opportunities, housing and basic amenities, universal access to health and education, social mobilization and special homes for vulnerable groups, like street children and urban homeless, etc., laying special emphasis on inclusive policies involving women, destitute and differently-abled persons by dovetailing ongoing sectoral programmes. TNULM-Mathi-College Bazaar was jointly organized by the Directorate of Municipal Administration, Vaniyambadi and Self Help Group & Incubation Centre and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi. This 3-day Event facilitated the urban Women Self-Help Group, sell their handicrafts.

Entrepreneurship Power Seminar, “STARTUP OPPORTUNITIES & DIGITAL SKILLSETS” on 12 March 2022 | Saturday | 10.30am – 04.30pm

Students got highly motivated and inspired by their speeches. 83 Students gave feedback through Google Form,  53 were found to be of highly valuable and attainable.  
The ICEDC plans to conduct Series of such Power Seminars on different occasions. 

Entrepreneurship Power Seminar-2,“GLOBAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES & SKILLSETS” on 22 November 2022 | Tuesday | 10.00am – 01.00pm 

EVENT REPORT
This One-day Seminar, being part of the Power Seminar Series, was organized to inculcate Entrepreneurship Qualities and Mindsets among Aspiring Students within and outside our institution. 
Dr. K. S. Kamaludeen, Chennai-based Award-winning International Entrepreneur, Renowned-Speaker, Author and Mentor graced the event with his motivational and informative speech on “Global Business Opportunities & Skillsets”. The Hon. Secretary & Correspondent, The Principal, The Convenor and two Coordinators chaired the Seminar. The Resource Person was greeted with a Shawl and Fruit Bouquet.  MoU was exchanged between Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi and Bluebharath Exim Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.
211 students registered through Google-Form. 154 students (including 29 girls), accompanied by their respective mentors, actively participated and benefited. All the student/faculty participants were provided with Notepad, Pen, Refreshments and Participation Certificates. There were 25 student volunteers offered support services to ensure the smooth conduct of the Seminar. They were awarded with Recognition Certificates for their extensive volunteering services. The Resource Persons, Organizing Committee and Volunteers were given high tea and working lunch. In addition to the main session, the Seminar also had two more events. The Voter Awareness Program by the RDO, Vaniyambadi, and CFTI Certificate distribution.

Inauguration of Yuva Tourism Club
At first, the programme was started with Qirath by Mr. F. Abdul Mubarak (III B.Sc. Biochemistry) followed by Thamilthai Vazhthu. Dr. M. A. Farook, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology and YUVA Tourism Club Co-ordinator welcomed the gathering with warm words. Dr. H. Abdul Jaffar Ali, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi delivered a Presidential Address. In his address, he elaborated the significance of Marine Tourism and Tourism economy among the Students and he also motivated Students to explore tourism sites around us. Dr. M. A. Farook, Asst. Prof. of Biotechnology and Co-ordinator of YUVA Tourism Club introduced the members of YUVA Tourism Club to the gatherings. Dr. K. Murugan, Asst. Prof. of History and Co-ordinator of YUVA Tourism Club introduced the Chief Guests to the gatherings. Prof. D. Abul Fazal, Head, PG & Research Department of History, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi delivered a special lecture on “Local Historical Tourism Sites” and shared his vast knowledge on significance of local historical sites and its preservation and also he gave guidelines and motivate YUVA club members to explore more historical sites in our District. Prof. J. Jayamani, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism & Travel Management, Government, Arts College (Autonomous), Coimbatore delivered a talk on “Youth Empowerment through Tourism: Shaping the Future and Making a Difference”. He highlighted and stressed the Importance of YUVA Tourism Club, Significance of Tourism, Types of Tourism, YUVA Club activities, Economical importance of tourism and also gave job opportunities in Tourism to the Students. Students actively interacted with chief guest and all the questions raised by the students were answered and doubts were cleared by the chief guest in an interactive way. In conclusion, a formal vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Mohamed Saihan, II B.Sc. Biotechnology. In this programme 120 Students participated. Finally the programme was ended successfully with National Anthem.

Anti Drugs Committee :

The Antidrug Day commemoration 

The Antidrug Day commemoration event held at the District Collectorate in Tiruppattur on August 11th, 2023, was a resounding success. It was inaugurated by District Collector Baskara Pandian, who emphasized the government's commitment to tackling drug abuse. The event saw active participation from over 400 students of Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi, highlighting the crucial role of the youth in addressing drug-related issues. All attendees, including students and dignitaries, took a pledge to actively work towards a drug-free society and promote awareness among their peers. This event serves as a shining example of the community's determination to combat drug abuse and create a healthier and safer society for everyone.

The Antidrug Awareness Program

The Antidrug Awareness Program held at Islamiah College, Vaniyambadi, on 22nd September 2023 was a significant event aimed at educating students about the dangers of drug abuse. With more than 500 students in attendance, the program featured a compelling address by Mr. A. Vijaya Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vaniyambadi, at the Allama Iqbal Auditorium. The program aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and emphasized the role of educational institutions in preventing drug abuse. Mr. Kumar shared statistical data and encouraged students to become ambassadors for a drug-free society. The program's impact was evident, and it serves as a crucial step towards creating a drug-free and aware community.
