       On 27th September 2024, the NSS unit of our college organized the Swachhata Hi Seva - Mega Cleaning Drive in and around Vaniyambadi. This initiative aimed to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness among the community.
The cleaning drive focused on several key locations, including:
• Primary Health Centre, Newton
• Railway Station, Vaniyambadi
• Post Office, Newtown Branch
• Bus Stand, Vaniymabadi 
• Vaniyambadi Municipality
 The event was spearheaded by our NSS Programme Officers:
Dr. M. Mujjiburrhaman
Dr. G. Harigaran
Mr. E. Mohammed Imran
            They were supported by assistant staff, including Prof. Lokesh, along with enthusiastic NSS volunteers who actively participated in the cleaning efforts.

Activities Undertaken

Volunteers engaged in various activities, including:

• Collecting and disposing of waste in the identified areas.

• Cleaning public spaces to enhance the overall sanitation.

• Distributing awareness materials on cleanliness and hygiene practices to local residents.
 

       The Mega Cleaning Drive not only contributed to the beautification of Vaniyambadi but also raised awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings. The active involvement of NSS volunteers fostered a sense of community responsibility and encouraged residents to participate in future cleanliness initiatives.
      The Swachhata Hi Seva - Mega Cleaning Drive was a significant success, demonstrating the commitment of our college and NSS unit to promoting a clean and healthy environment. The initiative has inspired both participants and community members to prioritize cleanliness in their daily lives.
