On 26th September 2024, at 2:30 PM, the 'Swachhata Shapath' (Pledge of Cleanliness) was organized in the Seminar Hall of Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi. The event aimed to promote cleanliness and create awareness about the importance of a clean environment as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The pledge was led by the college Principal, Dr. T. Afsar Basha, along with the Vice-Principals, Dr. Syed Thahir Hussainy and Dr. S. Kadar Nawaz. They were joined by NSS Programme Officers, other faculty members, and students, who collectively took the pledge to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, both on campus and in the broader community.

The event emphasized the role of each individual in keeping the environment clean and highlighted the importance of cleanliness for public health and environmental sustainability. The NSS unit played a significant role in organizing the event and ensuring active participation from the student body.

The pledge-taking ceremony reaffirmed the commitment of Islamiah College to contribute to the Swachh Bharat mission and nurture a sense of responsibility among students toward maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. The event concluded with a resolve to implement cleanliness practices in daily life and spread awareness among peers and society.
