Sports

Over the years the College has distinguished itself in the field of sports and games. During the last 91 years sportsmen and players have brought laurels to the College in various events at the inter-collegiate, district, university, zonal, state and national levels. Many of our sportsmen at present occupy important positions in the Government, public and private sectors.

The extraordinary performance of our sportsmen is partly due to the keen interest shown by the College authorities in providing all the facilities and the dynamic endeavours of successive physical directors.

The College gives equal importance to sports and games besides academics. In admissions to various courses special weightage is given to sportsmen of caliber. The College has ample facilities for both indoor and outdoor games. Adequate facilities for indoor games such as Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess are available. The College has two big grounds which are utilized for Cricket, Hockey, Football and athletic events. Separate courts have been provided for Ball Badminton, Volley Ball, Basket Ball and Lawn Tennis. A multi-specialty Gym adds a new dimension to the sports facilities of the College.
