National Cadet Corps
National Cadet Corps aims to develop the qualities of Character, Courage, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular outlook, Sprint of Adventure and Sportsmanship and the ideal of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens; and to create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life include the Armed forces and be available for the service of the nation.


History of IC NCC
NCC SD Army wing was started in the college in the year of 1957. Mr. S.M. Arumugam M.A. Lecturer in Tamil was deputed to attend PCRN course and became Commissioned officer in1957. He was in charge of NCC activities in the college from 1957 to 1962. Mr. G. Narayana Rao M.A, B.O.L, Lecturer in Hindi was Commissioned as NCC officer after attending PRCN course in 1962. Mr. C. Kaleemullah., M.Com., Lecturer in Commerce was commissioned as NCC officer in 1963. After undergoing PRCN course at OTA, Kamptee, Nagpur in 1978 Capt  G. Narayana Rao was promoted as Major. He refinished his service in 1980 after servicing for two decades. Mr. Syed Shahabuddeen, Lecturer in History attended the PRCN course at OTA, Kamptee, Nagpur and became commissioned officer in 1978. He was promoted to the rank of Major in 1993 and served in the NCC till 31st Jan 2000. Mr. J. Asghar Lecturer in Physics was given charge of NCC from 1st Feb 2000 and he attended the PRCN course at OTA, Kamptee, Nagpur and became commissioned officer on 28th Oct 2002 in the rank of 2 Lieut. He was promoted as Lieut on 12th  Jan 2004 when 2 Lieut post was abolished. He attended the Refresher course part I during 30th  May 2011 to 28th  Jun 2011 and was promoted to the Rank of Captain on 29th Jan 2011. He attended Refresher part II during 06th  May 2013 to 01st  Jun 2013 and was promoted to the Rank of Major on 02nd  Jun 2013 and served in the NCC till 31st March 2019. Dr. S.N. Mohamed Assarudeen, Assistant Professor of Mathematics was given charge of NCC from 1st April 2019 and he attended the PRCN course at OTA, Kamptee, Nagpur and became commissioned officer on 10th May 2021 in the rank of  Lieut.

Vision
To make NCC Students gain employment particularly in the Police department and Defense services of our nation.

Objectives
To make NCC Cadets to be punctual and workhard and without fuss to do selfless service to the nation by joining the defense services.

Achievement
Every year 50-55 cadets are enrolled in the NCC and they appear for ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate Examinations . Every year 8-10 Cadets get employed in the Army Services in various departments.
1. Also we conduct awareness rallies like
• Anti-tobacco
• Anti-plastic
• Anti-dowry 
• Anti –Pollution and etc.
2. Every year our cadets spend 100 Hrs in Swatch Bharat Activities introduced by our Prime Minister.

3. Every year we conduct social service activities like college campus cleaning and we get tie-up with the local Gov. Hospital and clean it.
 
4. Every year, our cadets attend National Integration Camp (NIC) conducted at all India level at different places which develop the habit of integration of the students irrespective of caste, creed, color, religion, etc. where everyone comes to know the cultural tradition of other states.
 
5. Every year 3-5 cadets are deputed to attend All India Trekking expedition in different states of India to inbuilt the habit of Tolerance and spirit de corpse to them.
 
Awards

During the Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC) conducted locally twice in the year cadets gets prizes in the Physical training, Games, Drill, Map reading and Cultural activities.

CUO S. Monishraj received the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship (SBSI) award and cash award (Rs. 2500) from DGNCC at New Delhi on 6th September 2019.
